A-Grade Waterproof Flooring for Carolina Homes: 4 Brands Built for Humidity, Kids, & Pets.

Updated: 20 hours ago

If you live in the Carolinas, your floors take a beating that most of the country never has to think about. Coastal humidity that warps cheap laminate. Sandy feet tracking through the kitchen after a day at the beach. Summer storms that send moisture creeping under doors. Dogs, kids, muddy boots, spilled sweet tea. Your flooring has to handle all of it without looking worn out in two years.

That is exactly why Cabinet Solutions LIVE carries only A-grade waterproof flooring from four trusted brands: NeXGen Flooring, Resolve Flooring, Mountain Park Flooring, and Lifeproof Flooring. Every plank we sell is brand new, fully guaranteed, waterproof, scratch-resistant, and stain-resistant. And through our live auctions and Facebook Live online auctions across NC, SC, and nearby regions, you can get it at 40 to 70% off retail. No contractor license needed.

Why A-grade Waterproof Flooring is Non-Negotiable in the Carolinas

Coastal and Lowcountry Homes.

If you are in Myrtle Beach, Charleston,

Wilmington, or anywhere along the coast, humidity is a year-round reality. Traditional hardwood and standard laminate absorb moisture from the air, swell at the seams, and start cupping within a few seasons. All four of our flooring brands feature waterproof rigid cores or SPC construction that will not absorb moisture, period. You can install them in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements without worrying about water damage.

Kitchens and Bathrooms.

These are the rooms that get splashed, spilled on, and mopped the most. Traditional wood floors are risky here. Our A-grade flooring handles standing water, dropped pots, and daily mopping without warping, staining, or losing its finish. Every brand we carry is rated for wet environments.

Families with Kids and Pets.

Scratches from dog nails, toy cars dragged across the living room, juice spills that sit for 20 minutes before someone notices. Our flooring is scratch-resistant and stain-resistant by design. NeXGen even comes with a lifetime pet-proof warranty. If your household is busy (and whose isn't), this flooring is built for exactly that.

4 A-Grade Flooring Brands, One Standard: Built to Last

NeXGen Premium Waterproof Wood Flooring

NeXGen is our flagship flooring line and the one we get asked about most. It is a hybrid waterproof wood floor with a monolithic (single-substance) core, which means water cannot penetrate it at any point. The planks are 9 3/8" x 60" at 10mm thick with an attached pad, so they feel solid underfoot and install with a simple click-lock system (Unidrop Locking). NeXGen comes with a lifetime limited structural warranty, a lifetime pet-proof warranty, and accepts up to 15% moisture in the slab, compared to 10% or less for most competitors. Styles include Hartwell Hickory, Barksdale Oak, Riverside Oak, Inlet Point, Shipwatch, and Kingfisher.

Resolve SPC Rigid Core Flooring

Resolve is a premium SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) rigid core floor that delivers excellent stability and durability in high-traffic areas. The rigid core construction means it will not flex, dent, or warp under pressure, making it a great choice for open-concept living spaces, rental properties, and commercial applications. Resolve offers one of our widest style selections with looks like Sparta, Timberline, Niagara, Vintage Oak, Maple Beach, Homestead, French Oak, Mesquite, and Enchanting Maple. If you want a classic wood look with serious performance underneath, Resolve delivers.

Mountain Park Waterproof Flooring

Mountain Park is a newer addition to our lineup and it has quickly become a favorite among buyers who want a warm, natural aesthetic. The collection includes styles like Pecan, Savannah, Relic White Oak, Winter Gray, Coastal Sand, Forest, and Castlerock. Mountain Park is especially popular with Carolina homeowners who want that authentic wood-grain feel in earth tones and soft neutrals that complement both coastal and traditional interiors.

Lifeproof SPC Flooring

Lifeproof is a brand many homeowners already recognize from national retailers. It is an SPC floor with strong waterproof performance and a reputation for handling heavy foot traffic. We carry Lifeproof at auction pricing, which means you get the same trusted brand at a fraction of what you would pay at a big-box store. Lifeproof is a solid choice for buyers who want a name they know and proven performance they can count on.

All A-Grade. All Brand New. All Guaranteed.

Every flooring plank we sell at Cabinet Solutions LIVE is A-grade, meaning top-quality material with no visible defects, consistent color, and full manufacturer specifications. This is the exact same product you would find on the showroom floor at full retail. The difference? Our pricing. We source through overstock, closeout lines, and builder surplus, so you save 40 to 70% without sacrificing quality.

Our A-Grade Flooring vs. What You Find at Big-Box Stores

Most big-box retailers sell a mix of flooring grades, and it is not always clear what you are getting. The entry-level options tend to be thinner (6mm or less), use basic wear layers, and come with short warranties that do not cover real-life damage. Our flooring sits in the premium tier across the board. Here is how they compare.

Which Brand Works Best in Which Room

All four brands are waterproof and can go in any room, but each one has a sweet spot where it really shines.

Kitchens and main living areas: NeXGen. The 10mm thickness with attached pad gives it a solid, substantial feel underfoot that you notice immediately in high-traffic spaces. The extra-wide 9 3/8" x 60" planks also mean fewer seams across large open floor plans, which gives the room a cleaner, more seamless look.

Rental properties and commercial spaces: Resolve. The rigid SPC core handles heavy foot traffic and furniture moves without denting or flexing. If you are a landlord or investor flipping properties across the Carolinas, Resolve gives you durability that survives tenant turnover without looking worn out.

Bedrooms, living rooms, and whole-house installs: Mountain Park. The warm earth tones and soft natural-grain textures make Mountain Park the most design-forward option in our lineup. Styles like Savannah and Relic White Oak create a cozy, inviting feel that works beautifully in spaces where comfort matters as much as durability.

Bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements: Lifeproof. Strong SPC waterproof performance in a brand that homeowners already trust. If you are putting flooring in rooms where moisture exposure is constant, Lifeproof's track record in wet environments makes it a reliable pick.

Pro Tip: Know Your Square Footage Before You Bid

Measure every room you plan to floor, multiply length by width to get the total square footage, then add 10% for waste and cuts. Bring that number with you to the auction so you know exactly how many boxes or pallets you need. Flooring lots move fast, and buyers who show up prepared are the ones who walk away with enough material to cover their entire project in one shot.

Flooring FAQs

Q: What does A-grade flooring actually mean?

A: A-grade refers to top-quality material with no visible defects, consistent color, and full manufacturer specifications. It is the highest quality tier, the same product you would find on the showroom floor at any retail store. Every flooring plank at Cabinet Solutions LIVE meets this standard.

Q: What is the difference between SPC, rigid core, and hybrid waterproof flooring?

A: SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) is a type of rigid core flooring made from a dense blend of limestone and PVC. Floors like Resolve, Lifeproof, and Mt. Park Collection use this stone based core, which creates a very stable and dent resistant plank that performs well in high traffic areas and spaces with temperature changes.

Hybrid waterproof flooring such as NeXGen uses a mineral reinforced composite core that combines elements of laminate and vinyl technology. This construction allows for thicker planks and deeper wood textures, giving it a feel closer to traditional hardwood while still being completely waterproof.

Both SPC rigid core and hybrid flooring are 100% waterproof and suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and living areas. The main differences are:

  • Core composition: SPC uses a limestone and PVC rigid core, while hybrid uses a mineral reinforced composite core.

  • Thickness and feel: Hybrid floors are usually thicker and feel more like hardwood underfoot.

  • Rigidity: SPC tends to be denser and more rigid, which can help with dent resistance.

Q: How do I know how much flooring to order for my project?

A: Measure the length and width of each room in feet, multiply to get total square footage, then add 10% for waste and cuts. This is standard industry practice. If you are flooring multiple rooms, add the square footage together before adding the 10%. Our team can also help you calculate during a design consultation.

Q: Can I install your flooring myself or do I need a professional?

A: All four of our flooring brands use click-lock installation systems, which means they are designed for DIY installation without glue or nails. That said, if you prefer a professional install, ask our team and we can point you in the right direction.
