90+ Bidders, One Legendary Venue: Cabinet Solutions LIVE Takes Over Old Waccamaw Pottery in Myrtle Beach

We’ve done hundreds of auctions across the Carolinas. This one hit different.

On February 28, 2026, Cabinet Solutions LIVE hosted our biggest Myrtle Beach home remodeling auction of the year at the iconic Old Waccamaw Pottery in Myrtle Beach. Over 90 registered bidders packed the building. At one point, we ran out of chairs and people were still showing up. It was our highest-attended auction of 2026, and from the energy in that room, nobody was surprised.

A Legendary Myrtle Beach Venue, A Record-Setting Crowd

If you’ve spent any time on the Grand Strand, you know the Old Waccamaw Pottery. On February 28, it became the most competitive auction floor we’ve seen all year. Preview started at 8:30 AM and by nine o’clock, the place was already packed. People were measuring cabinet doors, checking vanity dimensions against bathroom photos on their phones, and pulling our team into conversations about their projects. You could feel something big building.

Then auctioneer Gary E. Hilborn Jr. stepped up, and the whole room locked in. With 90+ paddles ready, the pace was fast and the competition was real. Three straight bidding wars on the cabinet lots alone. People jumping in from every corner of the room. This wasn’t casual browsing anymore. This was game time.

The crowd was a real mix: first-time homeowners doing their dream kitchen, contractors stocking up for multiple jobs, house flippers doing the math on ROI, designers sourcing for clients. One contractor told us he’d been watching our Facebook Live auctions for months and finally made the trip. He walked out with a full cabinet set and enough A-grade flooring to cover a 2,400-square-foot renovation. His words? “I should’ve come sooner.”

What Went to the Highest Bidder

The turnout at Old Waccamaw Pottery was incredible. Nearly 80% of attendees were brand new to our auctions, and for many it was their first time ever experiencing a live auction. The room was packed and the demand was strong.

Because of the high turnout, several products sold out quickly and some items are currently on backorder due to demand. We brought a massive selection of premium materials, all brand new, fully guaranteed, and priced up to 40%~ 70% below retail, and the response showed just how much interest there is in these deals.

We’re excited to welcome so many new bidders to the community and look forward to bringing even more inventory next time to keep up with the demand.

Kitchen Cabinets

This is where the real action was. Over 80 styles in shaker, transitional, and modern from Jarlin Cabinetry (featured on HGTV’s Property Brothers), Forevermark Cabinetry, Vision Cabinet Source, and Blue Valley Cabinets. Plywood construction, soft-close hardware, dovetail drawers. The kind of quality that costs $7,000 to $15,000 at retail. Our bidders walked away with full kitchen sets for a fraction of that.

A-Grade Flooring

Flooring went fast. Waterproof rigid core vinyl, laminate, and engineered hardwood from NeXGen Flooring, Resolve Flooring, and Mountain Park Flooring. All stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and waterproof. One contractor loaded up for three separate job sites. A couple doing their first renovation grabbed flooring for every room. At these prices, people don’t hesitate.

Bathroom Vanities

Our 60” vanities with Carrara marble tops were a crowd favorite. Navy, white, and natural wood finishes in farmhouse and modern styles, all with soft-close drawers. At the prices these went for, we had bidders grabbing two and three at a time.

Composite Decking

MoistureShield’s Elevate Collection showed up strong with 100% waterproof composite boards in Alpine Gray, Riverbank, Lake Fog, and Canoe. Big hit with buyers along the Carolina coast who need materials that handle the humidity.

Appliances, Fixtures & Accessories

Brand-new refrigerators, ranges, and dishwashers from Samsung, LG, and Whirlpool kept the bidding heated late into the event. Plus sinks from Allen+Roth and Glacier Bay, faucets from Elkay and Kohler, Prominence Home ceiling fans, and tools. Some of the fiercest bidding of the night happened in this category.

Why 90+ Bidders Chose Auction Over Retail

Do the math. A kitchen cabinet set costs $7,000 to $15,000 at a big-box store. Our bidders take home the exact same brands, exact same quality, all brand new and guaranteed, at 40 to 70% less. Overstock, closeout lines, and builder surplus. No seconds, no salvage, no catch.

Our Home Turf, Our Biggest Night

Myrtle Beach isn’t just another stop on our schedule. It’s where Cabinet Solutions LIVE started. Our showroom is at 9908 N Kings Highway, our warehouse is in Conway at 5501 Highway 65, and we’ve been running live auctions at 30+ locations across the Carolinas and nearby regions for over 17 years. When 90+ bidders pack a Myrtle Beach landmark wall to wall? That’s why we do this.

And it doesn’t end when the auction does. Buyers can stop by our showroom anytime by appointment, book a free design consultation with 3D layout support, or place a customized order for anything beyond what was on the floor that night.

Pro Tip: Can’t Make It to a Live Auction?

Cabinet Solutions LIVE runs Facebook Live online auctions where you bid in the comments from anywhere. Follow us on Facebook for alerts. Or call (843) 323-4756 for custom orders and design consultation by appointment.

Why Arriving Early Matters

With so many first time attendees joining us, we want to share a helpful tip for future auctions. Arriving on time or even a little early makes the experience much smoother.

Getting there early gives you time to inspect the products and ask questions before the auction begins. Once the auction starts, our team is often busy assisting bidders, so having extra time beforehand can help you make confident decisions.

It is also important because the auctioneer will go over the auction rules, bidding process, and key announcements before the sale starts. This information is especially helpful for guests who are new to auctions.

If you arrive late and miss those announcements, it can make the fast pace of the auction harder to follow and sometimes confusing.

Arriving early helps you get familiar with the items, understand the process, and be fully ready when the bidding begins.

Auction Day FAQs

Q: How often does Cabinet Solutions LIVE hold auctions in Myrtle Beach?

A: Myrtle Beach is our home base, so it’s one of our most frequent auction locations. We hold events here on a recurring basis throughout the year. Follow us on Facebook or sign up for alerts to catch the next one.

Q: Can I combine auction wins with a custom order to complete my renovation project?

A: Absolutely. Many buyers grab cabinets or flooring at auction, then work with our in-house designer to fill in the gaps through a custom order. We’ll review what you’ve won, confirm specs, and order whatever else your project needs.

Q: Is there a limit to how many items I can bid on at a single auction?

A: No limit at all. Some buyers come for a single vanity, others leave with a full cabinet set, flooring, and appliances in one event. Planning to win big? Ask about bundled delivery to save on freight.

Q: What should I bring with me to a Cabinet Solutions LIVE auction?

A: Bring a tape measure, your phone with notes on retail prices, a written list of your max bids, and a vehicle that can fit your wins. For bigger purchases, ask about our delivery services before bidding so you can plan ahead.
